Entering its fourth year, the Research2Practice Program is currently accepting applications for AY 25-26. R2P provides Rutgers University—New Brunswick affiliated faculty, graduate students, full-time staff, and postdoctoral researchers the opportunity to transform an area of expertise into an educational tool for the Rutgers community. Fellows receive structured support to grow as publicly engaged scholars and a stipend upon completion.
The Research2Practive Program, housed in the Tyler Clementi Center for Diversity Education and Bias Prevention, advances the Academic Master Plan (Pillar 1: Scholarly Leadership) and Diversity Strategic Plan (Priority #3: Promoting Inclusive Scholarship and Teaching).

The RDL Faculty and Staff Associates Program will support the creation of innovative multi-and cross-disciplinary ideas to address complex, democratic problems. The theme for 2025-2026 is Inspiring Democratic Engagement.Open to Faculty (non-tenured faculty and lecturers are eligible to apply) and staff from any/all units at Rutgers-New Brunswick, Rutgers-Camden, Rutgers-Newark, and Rutgers Health.

Faculty, students, postdoctoral trainees, and staff across each Chancellor-led unit are eligible to apply. Projects proposed by staff in the central administration must be done in partnership with/and for the benefit of a Chancellor-led unit or cutting across all Chancellor-led units. We will make awards across all campus roles and strongly encourage applications from all members of the campus community

Through OAT, the Libraries award research funds to Rutgers faculty who redesign their courses to use free or low-cost materials or who create a new open textbook. Our goal is to support course material affordability at Rutgers, promote the use of open and affordable educational resources, and empower faculty to innovate their teaching through the use of open, free, or library-licensed materials and teaching aids.
